Ok, not the usual colored meds as these are clear but Pannell Bros. were the 1st black druggists in the town of Staunton back around the turn of the last century. These bottles command a good price locally because of their history. I was excited to find 2 of them in great condition. I have had limited access to a new dump site and found some great bottles in a short period of time. Unfortunately the dump is being covered up as we speak. I was fortunate to spend the few hours that I did and will be showing some of the great bottles that I found in the next couple of days as I get them cleaned up.

Here's another local med found that I had not seen before. Everything in this dump was no later that the teens with the majority of the bottles   1890 or so. I found several crown top bottles but all were applied and tooled tops. I wish that I could have spent more time there but I am happy with what I found.

Here's a couple more that I found the other day. Both are local whiskeys. The Harman's pint on the left is more common but I have never seen the George Weston in the quart size on the right.

A lot like schools in the South 'til the 50's. We have come a long way since then especially with the recent election of a black president, but we still have a long way to go.  I wonder what it will all look like a hundred years from now. I would imagine that we will either wipe each other off of the face of the earth or actually learn to live with one another. I don't see an in between. We either live or we die. How's that for seeing things either black or white?

The only tool we have to predict the future is past history.
So far all the great civilizations have risen and fallen to be replaced by others.
If you stand really still and look closely you can see happening right now...

My problem is that I can't stand still. If I did then I would surely die and I don't see that happening right now. I guess that I am an eternal optimist. There are things going on right now that most cannot hear or see. My glass is half full and I believe that you become what you think about. We are all creating every minute of every day by what we think. What the masses believe tend to come to pass, but for the masses only. I choose not to follow everyone else who is predicting gloom and doom. I do not listen to the news as it subscribes only to those who are in fear and wish to tell others of false prophets and things that may happen. But they might not at least not in my world. One thing that I can say for sure....I dig and therefore I am...End of Statement!
