I just got this weird 7-Up bottle that has a picture of a soldier on it and says "Concord Minutemen - Shot Heard 'Round the World." On the bottom is L-61626A 75. Just wondering what this is a tribute to.

The "shot heard round the world" was the first shot taken to begin the American Revolution. You know, the one where we kicked everybodys ass back across the pond.

So the bottle was probably made in 1976, huh? I wonder why I keep finding only 7-Up bottles from the mid 70's...

The 75 on the base is probly the date. They may have made it in advance for the coming year.

If you are digging, you are obviously in a very late dump.If you are buying, you need to hit some soda bottle shows. There are some nice early 7ups in the soda section where you can see and maybe buy some vintage bottles. You will get a better response to soda questions in that thread.
