I have found a Congress and Empire Spring Co. Saratoga NY bottle.  It is about 7" tall, green, and has an E on front and a 4 on the bottom.  I have searched just about everywhere for information, but the bottles that I have found on the net all have a C and different number on the bottom.  I would appreciate any information as to where to look.  Thank you in advance.

Hi Lori,
The Empire Water "E" bottles are more scarce than the Congress Water "C" bottles.  There are various different basemarks on the bottles.  Can you post a picture of your bottle?

Nice Empire Lori. I'll hazard a guess and say $150-$175

Beautiful mountain glass - I believe blown at Mt. Pleasant  in the mid-1800's.  Scarce to rare in the pint size - definitely harder to find in that color olive green, as opposed to the later emerald green bottles

If it is the variant I think it is (E-6B) - Digger Odell's price guide shows one sold in 1994 for $425, 1999 for $240, and 2000 for $165.  I don't know the condition of those bottles which obviously affects the price considerably, and we all know price guides are just that "guides" but thought you  might like the info.

Wow - that one on ebay is incredible!  I love all of the tiny seed bubbles!  It is different from the one Lori posted in that it is a Hotchkiss variant, but interestingly they both have a "4" on the base.
