Cotton & Maag? - 3/9/2010 2:35:52 PM    fpgill   Posts: 2 Joined: 9/25/2009 Status: offline I've found a bottle in the back of our tool shed - not sure if its pre=1900 or not (I can't tell if the seam goes through the top). It says Cotton & Maag Boston Mass Registered. Picture is below - can anyone tell me what the approximate date is, if its' valuable, etc? (When I google Cotton & Maag I'm not getting much!) The base of the bottle varies substantially from one side to the other. [image][/image] Post #: 1

New Hampshire Status: offline Hi, You have a "blob" (hence the blob shaped lip) beer or soda that looks from the picture to date from the late 1870's to the early 1900's. It is certainly not machine made. There were hundreds if not thousands of local beer and soda businesses in the new england area, some are common and some are rare. I'm not very good with my local beer/soda values, maybe someone else on the forum knows. I'd say thats a good find! (in reply to fpgill) Post #: 2
