Knowledgable people of this forum heres a question for ya
Ive found acls befor in near mint condition but before i get them home the paint comes off what can I do to save these bottles and keep them in the same condition I found them

Hey Hillbilly,  I have experienced the same problems here on the coast and lost a lot of good ACL's until I started carrying a can of clear sealer spray with me. You have to clean the dirt off as soon as possible and spray it as soon as possible. Within a minute or two the paint starts coming lose most of the time. I messed up a valuable Barq's Moon Glo by not having the spray with me one day when I got in a hole of mostly ACL's.  I don't dig without it now. The overspray can be easily scratched off to the point of the label if it bothers you being around the label. Hope this helps you out and good luck.

Here is what I do with sodas and painted milks. When they first come out of the dump I quickly wrap them in newspaper. Then take them home  unwrap them and let them "bake" in the sun a few days. Then they should be safe to clean with soap and water.
