I'm quite proud of these Owl Bottles! They're pretty early as far as Druggist Bottles go. One is a strap side and the other is round with a flat panel. The round one is patented 1878. The one from Steubenville is in both English and Italian. I wonder how scarce they are embossed like this? Finally the Physician and Surgeon is from a small town not far from here. I like them with doctor or surgeon on them too. I don't know of any druggists with an owl from my area (but I hope there is one), and only have one with a mortar & pestle. I wish I could find a few local druggists to buy around here, but I have never seen one for sale anywhere. I know you are into the locals so I am glad you found them. I always enjoy seeing the owl bottles of any kind. Yes, they all came from the same collector. He's been digging and buying for 35 years and these were his only two owls.
