Hi to all,

Just a quick question really.
Recently when clearing out the shed at my Grandfather's house, we came across four old flagon style bottles, the most interesting of which was a large (probably over 4ltr) Domestos bottle.
I was hoping someone would be able to tell me more about it, and whether it was a fairly rare find?

Mandy

Welcome to Antique-Bottles.Net !

Domestos was first marketed in the North East of England in 1929 and only distributed nationally from 1952. Even if the bottle is one of the first it will have been machine made and is of no commercial value.

Thanks for the welcome :)

I had found the information of when Domestos began trading but didn't know that the bottles were machine made. We were just curious to know more about it!

Thanks for the help,

Mandy
