Here it is... Has a nice little green streak going through it.  Anybody know what this would have gone to?

Perhaps an unmarked Wilcox lid, they are listed in milkglass, clear, aqua & amber in the unmarked style. Shame you did not find the jar!!!

Yep, it is a Wilcox. I would suspect that several glass houses made them as replacements. The origanals all had a ray pattern on them. The jars are pretty and aqua jars start around 75 bucks but they can be had cheaper with a little bartering. Shouldn't have sold mine.

Come to think of it, pieces of the jar were there but i don't think I ever looked through them at the embossing.  Found this one on the bay.  Beautiful old jar.

Great old jar and really cool closure...If anything were to hook me towards collecting fruit jars, it would be the great array of colors, and the sometimes downright weird closures and lids... I can see why often the correct lid makes for a lot of the value.
