I was the first on the seen at a fresh construction site in an early part of the city. I had been watching this site for a wile now and they finally tore up the concrete slab that covered the lot. I quickly found a small barrel lined privy but it had been cleaned out only a few 1850s shards in the very bottom it was only 4 feet deep so it was a quick dig. There were spots all over this lot that I thought could be privies but the probe and many test holes said otherwise. The lot is pretty big and there should have been 6 or 8 houses here and the surrounding houses all look like the late 1790s style. I think I’m going to have to study my maps on this one.
