I recently dug this hot sauce bottle that I thought was a LUDEMANN'S. After cleaning it I discovered it appears to say EDEMANNS with a shield looking symbol where the first letter would be??? I tried to show a picture of the shield looking mark here. Anyone ever see this one before. EDEMANNS is all it has on it. No sauce.  Thanks for any replies   Marvin ' the mole"

Okay, no answer's on this one So how about the same style bottle with E.R. DURKEE & CO CHALLENGE SAUCE on it?? We have a great oyster crop here which is why we have a lot of different sauce bottles.
Why would they call it challenge sauce??
Any answer's appreciated.  Thank you,  Marvin

Hey Jim,  Thanks for the reply. Any reply is better than nothing
First time I have been back on the computer and found your picture of jugs. I recognize the one that could have been mine had I picked it I guess there is no need to ask about the STAG HEAD worcestershire sauce bottle I found either. It looks pretty cool with the Stag's head embossed on the neck of it. Sure glad all the pro's throw such things away LOL.
Dug a little this afternoon and all I came up with was a wine and a Joseph Cambell kethcup bottle. Lets go digging,  Marvin

Hey Marvin, I've seen the Edemans bottles before and always figured it was a sauce because I always find them in holes full of sauce bottles. How you liking this weather.

The Challenge Sauce bottles are pretty common around the area. It may just be a Gulf Coast Southern thing. There was more seafood here than beef.
