This seems to be very popular on Ebay in a short period of time.  Anyone have any insight on age and history of this?  The listing doesn't provide too many details.

This one I'd have to handle but it does remind me of the modern colored blown bird feeders...

I can't believe how high the price is with little known about it... Still has me stumped!

I'd have to heft that one, and get a close up feel for it before deciding in my mind if it's old or not.

Interesting color. Dont think I would pay much for it if I saw it in a shop, but then I'm no ink (or bird waterer) collector.

Didn't like the first one I handled and haven't liked any of them since.

I've been scratching my head about that one for a while. How on earth could it be worth that much? It goes against all my glass instincts: looks fake as can be to me.

Hello Jeff,

I've looked at this 3 or 4 times and scratched my head. I've not seen it's like before.

The cloche like ink compartment is unlike any "teakettle" I've seen thus far. How would you describe it? Do you know of any Ink Houses that used this form?
