This is a simple example of what can be done on this forum, it also is a genuine question :-)

What is or what was ZOMOGEN? I bought this bottle on eBay and neither I or the seller have a clue what it was. It is an unusual shape and beautiful green/brown color as you can see from the picture.

Probably some sort of household or medicinal bottle.
Looks to be turn of the century or early 1900' s.

I' m not entirely sure about this, you understand. But I' d wager it' s a hair product of some kind. It could be an extract, but it' s got more of a hair oil shape to it.
The lip is finished and it' s a neatly done finish so I' d further bet it' s well after 1900, more like the 20' s or even 30' s. English manufacture without a doubt.
yours, Scott

I've managed to find my bottle from storage, must have dug this over twenty years ago!

No idea what it is either.

Snap! (almost) - Did you get an idea of the date of the dump layer you were digging at the time?

Difficult to say after all this time, but probably late 19th or very early 20th Century.
