I got a call last night from a lady who said she found a lot of old bottles in a shed about 20 minutes away. I met her and she had this load and a couple of more boxes of junk. I paid her $30 for the load . I got some good ones out of it for my collection and some to sell out of my store on the bay. Best in the bunch are the two Sunrise from Coca Cola in Union City Tenn (these are scarce I am told) , another nice Aqua Chase (this one will go on the bay I put the other in my collection), a unusual Chase Special from Dyersburg Tenn, a Speas Vinegar Qt size, 2 small town (Rutherford Tenn) Meds and several others that I like. I am going to slow down after today for a week or so I have run bottles for the last 2 weeks. I have a ton to clean and list. bob

I'm interested in the Chase if it has a Tennessee town on it.

I couldn't believe how good this turned out (look at the grp pic with it in it) I would say this is a rare West Tenn bottle. I sent a couple of pics to some old time West Tenn Soda collectors and they said that it was a new one on them. bob

These all came out nice also. I like the 1st type Tab with Saccharin listed (this was outlawed and came out of the Sodas caused cancer in mice I believe) Last one I had years ago brought fairly good for a otherrwise common bottle. I am going to keep this one since it's mint. bob

Well yes and no on both questions. There are a few good ACL related things out there like the Soda Fizz . And there are the books that are more devoted to Soda collectibles that has everything Soda related including bottles. Then there are the ones on Pepsi Coke Chero Cola etc so all in all you can get a lot of info. But now with that said most people collect their area or specialize in Cokes Pepsi Nehi etc. That is one of the problems with a uniform book there are just plain and simple to many types etc to really list in one book. I see new ones from this area that we never knew where out there almost monthly so it would be a vast undertaking just to do a small area. I am working on one that will cover ACL's and Embossed Sodas from Western Tenn but so far I am at about 25% . I hope to have it done and on the market within a year or so. I have about 1,000 listing from Tenn so far that is East to West but I will probaly shift more West since it's home. I am sure otehrs may know more things that are out there. bob

Bob, you would get so much more long-term satisfaction out of that Tab bottle by 'sharing it with the world' and listing it!  Bob  ( :

I will probaly keep the Tab but I listed several bottles this morning and am getting ready to list a bunch of others. I may have some of the early Tabs in my outbuilding but I can't get in there right now because we have just put so much up front. Probaly 3/4 of what I bought over the last two weeks will be listed. BOB

Barkeepers friend and Baking Soda on outside and Awesome on inside with bottle brush. The Awesome will ruin the ACL if you get it on it. bob
