Many of you, even if you're not a major poison collector, has one or has had one in their collection.  They are very pretty, and very collectible.  There has been many on ebay these past few months...I have never seen such a representation from this bottle group in the last 3 years.  But what many of you don't know is a very rare variation of this bottle.  They look entirely the same.  But the difference is in the area for the label.  In this area at the top is embossed 'POISON' in large letters.  This is a KC-119.  They are very rare and at the moment, I have only one size listed for this at 9 1/4" tall.  Just one of these is worth probably your entire KC-1 collection, (presuming you have a fairly large collection).  If you do have many of these, may want to check to see if this is in your collection.  It could be easily mistaken for the KC-1 if not noticed.  So I still look at every KC-1 that comes on ebay to see if this is present on the back.  So far, no dice (not that I could do anything about it anyways) but I like to see what happens and point stuff out.

Happy hunting!

What about the 3 1/2" examples with the word POISON on the shoulder that has been peened out?

That is interesting.  I have never seen anything like that.  Miss communication with the mold maker perhaps...and he tried to fix it.  I don't know.  But that would be a rare mistake.  Or it was a different mold not used anymore that had the same shape, but then remade for this line of bottles.  Very curious.
