This flask was found inside of a half submerged rusty pail in a muddy area around the perimeter of an old homestead.

A  little further along I found this tiny flask with a chunk out of it , but brought it home anyway to try an ID. Any info on either flask would be great.

Thanks guys.  Someone suggested that this flask could be from that famous glasshouse in New England, but I don"t know how or even if it"s possible to identify an unmarked flask as such. (help)

I have found five of those flasks in hay lofts of really old barns in Conn.   Seems the hands piling hay had a few nips and stuck the bottles in the rafters. While there is no embossing I believe they were made here in New England

Those seamsided flasks seem to be commonly referred to as Stoddard type flasks but I think alot of glasshouses made them including Stoddard,Lyndeborough,Whitney,Westford, and probably several others in New England & Pa..That one doesn't look to have an applied lip so it is probably a little late for Stoddard, maybe one of the New England experts can help out.Nice find and good luck out there
