RE: Found this sitting around on the floor joist of an ... - 6/3/2008 11:02:19 AM    logueb   Posts: 1362 Joined: 1/6/2007 Status: offline Nice Find.   While there may not be any great monetary value in a labeled Watkins, it's invaluable information to all those collectors who have dug those Watkins bottles with the embossing and wondered what came in them.  Clear embossed bottle without the label , $1 on a good day.  Cork, label, and contents $5 to $10 at the Auctions that I attend.  I remember the "Watkins Man"  who made his rounds on Saturdays with his "Rolling Store" vechicle loaded down with Watkins products. Some women swore that their flavorings were the best money coud buy, and the number of empty  bottles in dumps shows there were a lot of use of the Watkins products. _____________________________ Buster Bottle Bug Bit with no cure in sight. I once stopped to check out what was left of an old house and picked up an old tobacco tin. Opened it up and found a $5.00 Silver Certificate inside!! Cool find, ncbred!!
