Found while diving? - 7/14/2003 5:44:23 PM    Guest I found a bottle yesterday while diving in Lake Michigan off Chicago. The Bottle is a " Blob Top" the seams do not run through the lip. It has " Frank Higgins Chicago ILL." on the side and " FH" on the bottom, it also has D.O.C. in small letters near the bottom rim. It has a bent wire piece of steel holding a disc shaped stopper inside the bottle. Thanks for any help trying to date and identify this bottle. Terry Rago   Post #: 1

RE: Found while diving? - 7/14/2003 8:41:34 PM    Guest frank higgens bottled in chicago in 1902. and only used the one style of the bottle. which was closed by either a hutchinson' s patent spring stopper or a parkhurst style stopper. both patented 1878-1879. thats about all i can find out . hope it helps. diggerjeff (in reply to Guest)   Post #: 2
