Friday Morning Back In Baltimore - 1/7/2012 4:12:39 PM    jpoff430   Posts: 225 Joined: 7/31/2011 Status: offline I headed back down to Baltimore Friday morning. Micah's spot has continued to produce some great bottles, especially now that they're really moving the dirt around. My bottle collection is growing and Im gonna have to build some more shelves. Thats a problem I dont mind having. Here's some more milks I grabbed. Quarts are Western Maryland, Koontz, Green Spring and Loch Raven. The Half Pints are Kress and Western Maryland. I love these old bottles but this one was broke and I didnt find another one. Bummer. Its a Nathan Calvansky from Baltimore, MD. These may be common but Ive never seen one. Anyone know anything about these please share? Age? I assume it was a beer bottle? Id be interested in trading or buying one of these if anybody has one to get rid of. Actually one of the rarest Baltimore blobs worth atleast $200. Listed as "very rare" in the Baltimore bottle book! You say that blob would have been worth $200 if it werent broken. I sell you the half bottle I got for $100. Sounds fair. We got a deal? Just kidding. Yeah man I had no idea it was that rare but thought it was super cool. Well, Im not looking to shell out $200 so I guess Ill have to keep digging for one. Whats the age on that bottle? I brought home 33 milks, some different sodas, a poison, and some odds and ends. We dug two broken blob top beers that would have been nice and Joey got very close to pulling an intact jug. Its gonna take me quite a while to get all the stuff cleaned up. I really like that Ca-be bottle btw. Not an easy Baltimore soda to find. Possibly into the 1890s. Thats a nice deep color with cool writing. It would be sweet to yank out one of those blob beers intact. Its been fun having to redo my bottle display areas in the basement every couple days!
