So far this is waht I brought back from the caboose.  Old ironing board all wood, old iron and plate, 1 old mason jar , 2 laterns and an old leather horse collar.  I have to go back and see if I can get that old wooden crate and then there is the iron stove and what ever else is in the muck and sand.

WOW!!! That is like stepping back in time.  I wish I could have been there to see that caboose.  Fantastic Finds!!!!!!!   Please, if you can find a camera that will take pictures underwater, take a picture for us.............They sell disposable ones for underwater and also plastic cases for regular cameras.

Unbeleivable condition of those things! Not even any patina on the horse collar fittings. Must be pretty anoxic down there.

GREAT! Must be my diabetic fatness, but I LOVE THE ARM CHAIR BEHIND YOUR FINDS! LOOKS 30's-40s? I used to want to live in a converted caboose and when a kid used to wave at the person riding in one.Always seemed like a great job! IT is a wonder how the collar[got one on the front porce, people offer to buy it from me] and especially the WOOD IRONING BOARD survived!  Any embossing on the JAR? WAS THIS FOUND ON A TRAIN WRECK? 1920s?

Wow,delt with antiques for 30 years of all kinds, gotta tell ya 45 feet of water from the 30s-40s so thats 70 years in a river and the leather is like its never been wet the brass is clean and no green in the wood of the ironing board. amazing.

Awesome find... did you treat the horse collar ..I would think it would/could begin to dry rot since it's out of the water... maybe oil like they use on ball gloves? I would look into it....
same with the wood and metal items a museum would tell you... too nice of finds to have them
start to deteriate....
