Norton 1859 the only son of Julius, Luman Preston Norton entered the firm and it became J. & E. Norton and Company or J. Norton and Co 1861 Julius died and the pottery became E. & L. P. Norton 1881 Lumas Preston Norton retired and the pottery mark became E. Norton 1883 C W Thatcher bought half interest and the mark became Edward Norton and Company or E. Norton and Company 1884 Edward Norton died and C.W.Thatcher took over, He ceased pottery production and operated as a wholesaler until 1911 They produced Rockingham, stoneware jugs, crocks, brown glazed pottery pieces, whiteware for table use, yellowware for milkpans, pitchers, mixing bowls, baking dishes, etc" From.
