Hi I've got about 8 Green Geo Williams Saint Oswald beer (not sure) bottles.
They are around 9 1/2" tall and have a funny man on them holding a knife and a plant.

I also have a FRANK JACKSON CASTLE HOTEL OSWESTRY green beer (not sure) bottle.
It stands at about 10" tall.

Can someone tell me who, what, where, when, why.

Thanxs Y.O. (sorry could not upload photo as it was to big)

Hello GiGi,

Welcome to the A-BN, and thanks for telling us of your bottle,

There's a bit of a learning curve on the whole picture thing. You need to reduce the size of your photos. There's some Directions Here, that may be of help.

Meanwhile, The Frank Jackson is British. Does yours look like This One? Oswestry is in Shropshire near the border with Wales.

They've, apparently, got this lovely castle ruin, for which the hotel was named.

The George Williams is British as well. Is yours a Hamilton? The "funny man," I believe is St. Oswald, see HERE.

I'd really like to see some good photos of your bottles. Please figure out the photo posting process.

Hey Gigi,

You did pretty well too, except for the sideways factor.

Be sure to check the "Embed" button, so the photo shows up on the page. I'm looking forward to seeing more. Please do some nice close up portraits of good King Oswald.

Cool bottle, and welcome to the forum... I've got a U.K. beer? bottle with a bird depicted, in that same green color.

I got it on my first ebay auction for 21 bottles for $21. basically all the bottles were english.
I used to look around on ebay for bottles but I've stopped that a bit because I'm trying out digging.

Being in Australia I think it's harder to come across bottle dumps.

Y.O.

P.S. The man I bought them off was a school teacher in England in the 70's and 80's.
