I have a dark amber Geo.Washington Figural bottle, just over 10 inches tall, pontil on bottom, cannot see or read any words, blob top. Any info. as to the value or date would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. I am having trouble making my picutres smaller than 200KB, as soon as I figure it out I could post a photo.

reduce you pics in Paint. Right click on image, then open with, then Paint. In paint, at the top click Image then reduce/skew. type in 75/75 50/50 what ever it takes.

Karen

From what little I know about the Washington bottles, I believe your is a repro. The top is not right.

I would need to see better pics to be sure (I have seen originals with a tapered lip like that one has). You reduced your pic down to 3.8 kb, which is much smaller than you need to. If you can post some more pictures it will help. Try to get a good, focused closeup of the base, same for the neck, and a picture of the whole bottle that is in the neighborhood of 200k. If there are any areas that are particularly crude like bubbles or waves in the glass try to photograph those as well. Also, check the box that says "embed picture in post" that you see next to the upload link (admin: why isn't that a default?).

This is all worth the effort, because from what I've seen so far your bottle could be an original and worth a bit of money.

Sean

PS: even if it is a repro, it's one of the better ones, maybe Clevenger, and as such is still worth more than nothing.

Here are more photos. Bottle has a few bubbles but it was too hard to photo them, bottle does feel and look crude, you could see in the photos. Thanks again.

It's a reproduction of a Simon's Centenial Bitters I'm sorry to say. It may be a Clevenger Bros. It's pretty crude even for a repro. These things always confuse me (not hard to do.) There are so many of them out there.
Two originals below.

Sure it is, it's an interesting piece of glass. Not sure of a value, I'd say under 10. Positive you'll find a bunch of them on ebay right now.

Lobes.

It is a reproduction, but a nice one. That applied tapered top isn't commonly seen on reproductions and I'd swear I saw a real one at an auction with that lip. None of the originals were pontiled though, so that's a dead give-away. I'm guessing it's early Clevenger and I wouldn't be surprised to see it go for $25 on ebay, but who knows. I guarantee it would get a bid at 9.99 because I'd put one there, I like to have some of the old Clevenger stuff around

As repros go it's a pretty crappy one. Looks like they poured it into a mold made of playdoe carved by a 6 year old.
