Found this one today at a thrift store. looks to be about a pint size.Has a glass screw lid,smooth lip.Any ideas??

RB 9 identifies it as #3080,and I found the two holes where the handle would have gone,but it has a smooth lip??

Cool jar . I always look for that type when I'm out and about but haven't chanced apon one yet.

Great jar ya found there....there is, well I would call it a series, several types of these jars that came out about the same era....

It is a good find to get them with the glass lids....I see them from time to time in shops....if I come acoss one with the wire still attached...I will keep ya in mind.....

Here is a picture of a 3078 in the quart size. My wife and I have been collecting these for a few years. I have yet to find one that does not have a ground lip. Some of the jars of this type are fairly easy to find in shops. We see one every few months on average. Others are quite scarce with the pints showing up much more frequently than the quarts.
