Very light blue says Mason`s Improved above and below the cross, with the symbol like the German Iron cross. Base says 21 but looks like a doubled die as on a coin on the base. The lid has the zinc ring with the blue glass insert  Mason`s Improved No 12 on bottom of that pc and looks like 50 lightly marked in the cross.
The 2nd is similar but says Mason`s Improved  BELOW the cross light blue in color. Base says PAT NOV 26 67 with the number 39 in the center. Zinc ring, with lt blue glass top with Mason`s improved with and F and 50 on cross top and No 12 in cross on bottom of pc.
Any help dating or value is appreciated. Thanks

Hey, MIdigger. If you scroll down more past the Before 1900, After 1900 and Digging and Finding sections you'll come to the Jars section. You'll get some help here but you'll get a lot more hits there. Swiz

MI,
Your jars are fairly common in the $10.00 range.the first jar you described could be a reworked Glassboro jar.(best I can tell without seeing a pic of it.).
You did not indicate the size,so I am assuming they are Quart size.
