Status: offline 		We have one just like this.  We paid $12 or so.  Picked it up in NV at an antique store while I was out there for my dad's funeral.  Odd thing, a cobalt one exactly like this sold for over $100 on ebay the other month.  Musta been the color.
Wife is convinced that ours is iradiated.  I have never seen green iradiated bottles.  Just purple and amber.  It's an ongoing agument whenever it comes up.

Status: offline 		I sent an email off to some one I found on line about these inks and they said it's not old...So i went home and examined it real close and could faintly see where it had said Japan on the bottom....it was very worn away...it was only $6, and I like the color...no one has to know its from Japan!!! I still wonder how ild it is tho...Just because things say made in Japan, China, or where ever does this necessarily mean it's not old?

Covill had the umbrella with Japan on the bottom in his book/collection.  He felt it was 1960s.   A big giveaway is the mold seam.  Does it go up to the neck, then go all the way around the neck?   If so, it's ABM and late.    I don't think any of the "Japan" base embossed umbrellas are old, sadly.   I don't think nonetheless, that you did bad for $6.   It's a great color anyway.

  At least this way I learn a bit more about ABM bottles and what not to buy or get cheated on.....one place had just a plain old slick like I have 5 of and they had anywhere from 10-20$ on them  Some one knows even less about bottles than me!!

Status: offline 		Ours doesn't have anything on the bottom (except an orange peel texture).  Has a round seam on the base near the outside edge, 2 seam lines up a ridge to 1/2 way up the neck to a very pronounced applied top seam.  The top itself has a seam as well to the outside rim of the lip.  I know it's not old, but like our woodswalker here, liked the color and it's our only umbrella ink.  Had many opportunities to get un-embossed aqua umbrellas of good age, but were still concentrating on poisons.

Status: offline 		Mine I figure was worth the $6 i spent on it and it looks great with the few other thinks I picked up over the weekend.....trying to add a bit more color to the collection and I really love the inks and the pitchers(especially that crackled green one) I have no idea how it was made or how old it it but it is a beauty!!  I just want to learn how to not be tricked at antique stores...and most won't bargain with ya cause its all on consignment.....maybe I'll just start taking my camera in with me lol!!
