Hey carobran, You could'a bought This Half Pint for $32.02, The seller said it was in "very nice (condition is beautiful)" Please try and post a photo or three. There's lotsa keen eyed folks here. We enjoy photos and who doesn't like a Lahaina bottle. I believe the "P.M. Co." was the Pioneer Mill Co. "Pioneer Mill Company, located on Maui’s west side, was founded in 1860. It was one of Hawai‘i’s last remaining sugar plantations at the time of its closure in 1999. By 2002, the abandoned mill, fallow fields, and plantation-era homes seemed to be all that remained of the sugar company’s once-dominant influence on West Maui life. Plantation camps, developed to house workers and their families, were once scattered among the cane fields from Olowalu to Honokohau. Modern subdivisions now stand on these lands. Nearby Lahaina, the Hawaiian Islands’ former capital, served plantation residents as West Maui’s center of commerce and entertainment. While Lahaina and the surrounding area are expanding tourist destinations, the mill, fields, and camp lands are reminders of an earlier era, as recalled by the area’s longtime residents, whose stories compose this oral history project." From. Is this the $125 "Mint" One? "Pioneer Mill provided a plantation hospital in Lahaina with free medical care available to all families whose head of the family earned $100 or less a month. In addition to hospital services, child health clinics were held in all plantation villages, including Olowalu. A herd of 100-140 dairy cattle provided milk and a herd of 500-800 beef cattle provided meat sold by the plantation at less than market cost as a means of health improvement. The company also maintained a recreation department to encourage participation in baseball, basketball, volleyball, tennis, boxing, track and field, soccer, sipa-sipa (a Filipino ball game) and swimming." From. If nothing else, It's a nice piece of Maui Sugar history.
