ABOUT ten years ago I had a holloways gonnorea cure pot lid.[MISPELLED?] I wish I had it back! It was near perfect condition, with a small chip underneath the lid . I also had the base.I sold it for $250. ANY ONE KNOW THE RARITY OF THIS LID? DID I GET A GOOD DEAL? I remember the directions said to take a portion the size the of a "some sort of nut".CAN'T REMEMBER ALL THAT IT CURED OR ALL THAT WAS WRITTEN ON IT. IF somebody has one of these lids please help refresh my memory.THANKS!

Hi Glassman,

I have never heard of a Holloways with those specific cures and wondered whether this lid was the one you are thinking of.

White walnuts (butternuts) are actually from the Butternut tree

THANKS LOBEY. That puts it more into perspective. Quite a chunk of medicine to take. Probably could onle get about three doeses out of the containor. It seems some soldiers of the south in the civil war had on "BUTTENUT" colored uniforms,if memory serves me right.[My memory don't serve me to good anymore,oh well] Do you know why called "WHITE WALNUTS"? I guess the inside is white like a cocanut, maybe?
