By looking at these pictures, could anyone tell me about the age/authenticity of this bottle? Also, if possible a value? As you can see, the label is in good condition. The seam starts at the Pontil mark and stops halfway up the neck. There is a thread along the mouth which can be faintly seen in the photo. It runs about 3/4 around the mouth and has a wavy pattern that spirals down and around. The color is a pale teal/aqua and the back side has the traditional embossed woman sitting with a pitcher in her hand. You might notice that inside the bottle there are pieces of charcoal, however I am not sure why as they were there when purchased. If you need any further images/information, please ask. Thank you!

The base doesn't look pontilled like you said, looks like a two-leaf mould but I'm not sure. The neck is probably tooled from your description as is the case with most Lithia Waters. Someone should be along to provide more knowledgable information soon.

BTW, the charcoal may have been put in there by a past collector to keep moisture out of the bottle. JMO

Welcome,
These I had always thought would be one of the least likely to be reproduced but were. The label looks like it has good age but that can be faked too. The color seams to be the least reproduced color but was. If I remember it mostly comes down to the embossing. How it's lettered and the font of the letters, the position of the women etc.
From the photo's it's looks good but the pics aren't good enough for me.
I can only leave it as a maybe by the pictures. That's mostly because I can't see the embossing at all.

Yes, the bottle is "old" (late 19th century) and should/could sell for twenty to a hundred bucks depending upon who is watching/listening/coveting and the phase of the moon:)
