Help wanted in identifying a wine bottle - 5/27/2003 10:52:01 PM    Guest Hi all, This bottle was found in Poland, Europe as fill in the foundations of a house. I' m trying to age the house indirectly by finding the age of this bottle. Probally post WW2 since both seams go through the stem from end to end. Anyone know of any East European books that list bottle manufacturers and/or types. Note the deep set bottom. This style of bottle is more often associated with cognac, most seals on that type of bottle are for cognacs so I am interested to see any info as to there use for Schnapps. Personally I' ve never seen one but i dont think it was a large comodity here. The Schnapps is even a unknown bottle here. For this reason I will go along with you and say its probably Conac.
