Help with Apothecary / medicine bottles - 11/24/2003 9:54:20 PM    Leesa71   Posts: 1 Joined: 11/24/2003 Status: offline Hi, I found these bottles and wondering if anyone could tell me anything about them, age/value etc. I also have some other different ones that I haven't photographed. The second one has "WT&CO" and a "S" on the bottom, I have a few others like this but have a thumbprint on the bottom. I also have one (not pictured) has a moon shape on the bottom , the bottle has 2 seams that don't go over lip. What does the moon shape mean? Thanks Post #: 1

WT&Co made a lot of different medical glass ware bottles, dose cups, Apothecary stuff etc. someone here may be able to give you a lot of info on the glassworks. Could you post a photo of the "thumbprint" on the bottom of some of your other bottles? if its a pontil scar then you have some very old medicine bottles . (in reply to Leesa71) Post #: 2
