Hello fellow forum members,

I'm not sure there will be any interest in this book but I thought I would take a chance and offer it for auction.

For God, Country and Coca-Cola The unauthorized History of the Great American Drink and the Company That Makes It........Whew! by Mark Pendergrast

It is a 500+ page hard cover book in excellent condition. It has been in storage for 8 years and recently "unearthed"

The auction will start presently and last until Saturday 12 noon June 12th

What do you think? For the benefit of the Forum.....any takers?

Regards,

Marjorie

Marjorie,

A little info on Mark Pendergrast, he is related the the Pendergrast that had a pharmacy in Atlanta around the turn of the century (1900) It would make a great gowith for one of his bottles.

I thought it was a Dr. Pemberton that started Coca Cola.  Maybe I'm thinking of a different guy.  I love Coke!

I'll start the bidding at $10, because that's all I can afford.

Thanks Red Ginger!!
By the way, you are correct. The inventor of the original formula for Coke was Dr. John Stith Pemberton.

I've decided to continue to auction to Sunday night (midnight) in hopes of catching the weekend "crowd" on the forum, but you saved me from disappointment!!

Regards,
