Hi I love this site!!!I found i jug in a house i just bought and it is in beautiful shape except someone painted blue paint over the entire thing(the cork was painted blue to thats how i know its not original)So my question is how can i get it back to original without hurting it.Any help would be appreciated!!!!Thanks Bill

Joe The Crow swears by the brake fluid method.  I've given him several painted jugs/crocks and he cleaned them up real nice using brake fluid.  Smears in on, lets it sit awhile and takes a scrubber to it.  Sounds strange, but it works great.
