What I do is try to not touch the ACL paint on the bottle after I have dug a bottle. If you touch it, particularly if it is wet or damp, you will risk the chance of smearing the label. Next I will let it dry in the sunlight, so it will bake the paint back on the label. Once you let it dry completely it will make it easier to carefully clean the bottle, still paying special attention from scrubbing the paint off the label. This neat little trick was passed onto me by a friend. Give it a try.
