I suppose I should post this over on the other forum, but there's such great activity in here.  Anyhow, this was my one find while digging for a few minutes this evening.  It's got a very crude top, although it's not a pontilled bottle.  The neck actually leans to one side a little.  It hasn't been melted.  Any ideas what it was?  A food bottle?

Some sort of ink?  Seems a bit big, but the right shape.  Help me out here - I'm still learning....

Not too sure, but I believe this is the stopper to a decanter, although it looks a little large for one. It does, however, have the right shape.

Ah!  Interesting.  I hadn't thought to flip it over.  Anyone else concur on that?

Not to big for a decanter stopper. i have seen some pretty big and heavy ones.

I would possibly go with the decanter stopper, I haven't had any of the real old ones that large but I have had a couple of  blenko decanter stoppers that were that large.

I would tend to agree with richf and cap on this one. I vote decanter stopper.
