I May Have Found Another Good Baltimore Beer Bottle Tod... - 3/9/2010 8:36:51 PM    Staunton Dan Posts: 1829 Joined: 5/5/2005 From: Staunton, VA Status: offline I dug for 7 hours today and am pretty tired, however I needed to get this one posted as I have never dug one like this before. Note the difference in the logos on the 2 bottles. On the left is the common Globe that I dig all of the time, but the one on the right is a new one for me. I will post tomorrow what I found today. Got a few neat items in addition to the Globe beer. Right now I need to get some rest. I took my camera with me and shot a few pics. Here's one that shows some of the digging that I have done. There's a lot of trees and with trees there are a lot of roots to cut. The entire dump has been 2-4 feet deep. No chance of cave ins. These are all from yesterdays dig. There will be quite a few photos, and I don't wish to ty up the forum so I will just put on the most interesting items that were dug. The 1st is a photo of a couple of criers. The green Rockbridge water would have been a good one. I normally don't put on broken bottles but I thought that this one was exceptional. The doll, although broken would also have been great. I have only found these with a white face before but never black. Highly unusual for a TOC doll head. Here is a typical situation with a bottle sticking out of the ash at about 2-1/2 feet. Bartletts shoe polish the last time out. The shoe dressing next to it from yesterday's dig is from the same company. I thought that it was a barrel mustard until I cleaned it up a little. It comes in clear and aqua. This is only the 3rd one of these that I have ever found.
