I went out prospecting yesterday and hopefully found a good spot. It is a three story Federal style house on the Banks of the Ohio River. The man told me the house had been a pre- Civil War hospital. I probed out one hole and then another and will be digging tomorrow. I have to have carpal tunnel surgery Wed., so there's no time to waste.
I also lined up several other properties to dig. I spent nearly 6 hours walking up and down alleys and streets talking to the neighbors. I bet a spoke with 20- 30 people and came up with enough privies to last me into winter. I'll try and post a photo of the house shortly.

I also have carpal tunnel Zane..My mom had the surgery about 3 years ago.her hands doing well..

im only 24 but i have it so bad that sometimes when i wake up it takes a few minutes for me to feel in that hand..sometimes it locks all the way up my forearm and the whole arms useless..im probably overdue for the surgery..I wish you the best of luck on your surgery..and also on those sites .best wishes..Eric J

Well, the dig was a bust. One completely empty five footer with no walls. One suspected stone lined well with not even a shard that was only thirty inches in diameter. we had a hard time just filling the bucket up. we got down to about fourteen feet and filled it in. Probed out one more hole and found a couple keepers. It appears they dipped holes pretty well down there. I think Ill stick to digging Steubenville.
