There was so many people there it was like standing in a lunch line to shop in this shop/barn. I scored this for $3.24. Can anyone tell me more about it? RE: Ice blue, swirly pontiled bottle/flask/jug thingy - 5/8/2011 4:45:32 PM    RED Matthews Posts: 2394 Joined: 8/2/2008 Status: online Well swizzle,  I don't think it is all that old, but it is a hand made bottle that someone made - the hard and expensive way.  Obviously they knew what they were doing and how to do it.  I have picked up three of four of this type of product, just to evaluate their work.  For that kind of cost - one can not go wrong if they like hand blown glass. I showed my sis a pic of this one today and she likes it a lot. I think it may have found a new home. I'd keep it if it was older. With the amount of shelf wear on it I'd say its maybe 50 years old tops and could be as new as the 1980's for all I know. either way it made me smile for a bit and it'll make her smile even longer. Some are rather nice. They are fun to collect and come in a vast variety of colors. Lots of the pieces I have look like old glass. They made some great copies in the 60's... I had a green one that looked identical to that piece. I was down sizing and sold it on e-bay last year.
