I found this pretty bottle at a garage sale (paid 75 cents) and was wondering about it. It is made of clear, greenish glass. It is about 8" x 4 1/2" . There is no label, but the glass has a detailed picture of an old-fashioned well on it with the word " WATER" above that. Under the picture it has " PAT.APR.5.1932" Most of the sides and back are textured in the glass and it says " 1 QT." on the back at the bottom. The silver screw-on lid (with an inner cardboard seal) has an old Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval stamped into it with the words, " Hemingray Glass Company" above it and " Muncie, Indiana" below it. This being the day and age of bottled water, I really had no idea that they ever bottled water in anything other than plastic bottles. Any information or links would be appreciated.

Hello. From your description, I believe you have what is sometimes called a refrigerator bottle. It was not sold with water already in it. Rather, you filled it with tap water and put it in the refrigerator to get cold. I' ve seen them with an old fashioned refrigerator embossed instead of a well. They also came with the logo of the refrigerator manufacturer, such as GE, for example.
