Is it an antique wine bottle? - 4/11/2004 4:23:15 PM    athenamarie   Posts: 1 Joined: 4/11/2004 Status: offline I am a newbie at collecting glass and I recently went yard saling and I came acrossed a rectangular shaped bottle with grape designs on it. The bottle isn't black glass but it looks like it was painted a dark color. It also has a white metal cap that screws on the top. On the bottom of the bottle it is engraved "WINE" It also has a logo that looks like an eye ball and some numbers on it. Is this a good find? Post #: 1

With few exceptions, screw-top bottles are not very interesting to collectors. They simply are not old enough. I suggest you surf this forum for a perspective on collectible bottles.
