Of course it looks like some sort of jar lid to me but I could be wrong. I have searched the internet trying to find out what The Brecht Company, St. Louis is, but have had no luck. I have no info, but could it be a lid for a battery acid or grease jar? Maybe try a google search for "St. Louis Library, Brecht Company" (in reply to kawdog) Post #: 2
