Here is an ESCO Distinctive Embalming bottle. Is has an outline of the Washington monument with a scale from 16 to 2 going up it. Is it considered a poison? Any idea of value?  Thanks Fred

Hi Fred, Embalming bottles are collected as a subcategory of poison bottles. Rudy Kuhn listed them in his Poison Bottle Workbooks. There are some cool varieties of them, the one you have is one of the nicer ones I have seen. Unfortunately, my poison book does not list embalming bottles  and my knowledge of them is limited as far as value. Jim

Is it just me or does anyone else find embalming bottles a bit creepy?

Fred- Any time. Glad I could help!

GH- They do have a certain eeriness about them, simply for what their use was. I dig them in my dump once in a while, and they always stir up thoughts of an old mortician's lab and a corpse or two Jim
