It pays to let people know you collect bottles as I have had many bottles passed on to me.  These bottles mean a lot to me as they once belonged to a friend or relative and remind me of that person whenever I see them.  I was given this bottle Sunday after church from good friends whose dad, Mr. Ed another church member had recently passed on.   At the ripe age of 93, he died on his birthday, and I think he planned it that way.  I have bought some great old items from Mr. Ed over the years at church flea markets.  His stuff has recently been consigned to auction but my friends, knowing I collect bottles, took this out before it got on the auction list.   He collected glass chickens of some kind and I was told this bottle sat on the shelves with the glass chickens for years.  They say you can’t take it with you but you can pass it on. It reads J.ROWENS/ PARKESBURG Pa and is iron pontiled. Any of you Philly diggers know anything about this one?

Thanks Craig, that's some good stuff too you've been in lately.  I've always been lucky, but you can help set yourself up for that kind of stuff by just being nice to people.

Just curious...is it the pic that makes that bottle seem really small or is it a smaller size bottle?   Either way it's a beauty.

It's a regular size squat but does look like a mini in that pic!
