RE: J H Mathewson stone beer bottle - 1/6/2012 11:46:08 AM    tigue710 Posts: 4143 Joined: 7/11/2007 From: connecticut - nor cal Status: online ill bring it home today and get some pics, its the average size for these, the top was nowhere to be found.  It came out of a gold rush era privy, early 1850's, although there was some later early 1860's era bottles in the fill.  This was sitting in the transition line from fill to fluff, so it could be either...  not much came out whole except the usual op slicks and one dip mold black glass ale...
