One more bottle I can't find a bloody thing on. 12 1/2" tall, clear, pale aqua, heavy,
many air bubbles. Nothing on the sides, but the bottom has J K & S and the numbers
2824. Who made it? Age and value?? Thanks again!

Hey Holly:

What shape is it? Is it like a wine bottle or more of a medicince bottle shape, etc. I don't suppose you can post a pic can you?

Hello Bottle Diver,
It is wine bottle shaped. I am a computer dilettante...no digital camera, just a scanner
which means I have to take a real photo, develop it and scan. If you are familiar
with Huguley whiskey bottles, it is the same shape but a bit taller.

Hey Holly and welcome to the forum. Your bottle was made by John Kilner & Sons between the years of 1844 and 1857. Wakefield, Yorks., Eng. 1844-47; Thornhill Lees, Yorks, Eng., 1847-57. I don't have a value, but with no embossment (except the no. on the bottom) and it being aqua in color, I doubt if it will command a premium. The reference comes from J. Toulouse "Bottle Makers and Their Marks" Sounds like a nice old bottle! Hope this helps, Kelley
