#1twin ~ I would say the 52 is definitely a reference to 1952 when it was made. The shield with a "J" you mentioned is for the "Knox Bottle Co., Jackson MS." In operation from 1932 to 1953 or a little later. But this doesn't neccessarily mean it came from Jackson, but that it was definitely made at the Knox bottle factory. I'm surprised there is no mention of a city/state on the ACL, (applied color label). But, all things considered, most likely a "Southern" brand. I'm sure someone will recognize it and be able to tell you more. In my ACL soda bottle book it list one of your "Jet" bottles as having been sold in 1993-94 for $26.00. It may be worth more now, but it really depends on current availibility and demand. For sure a good buy though at only $1.25. Definitely a keeper! Thanks for sharing, SPB
