First off...I am not a bottle collector, but I have acquired two amber/brown bottles that have embossed on them: "L.C.Edwards" "Non-refillable" "BOTTLE" "patented" "April 28th 1903" The story I have heard is that only three of these bottles were made to obtain the patent. My uncle, a bottle collector , acquired them in Connecticut 15-20 years ago. It is difficult to take good pictures because of the darkness. The neck has a large cavity with a t-shaped stopper. After the liquid would be poured into the bottle, stopper was inserted into the cavity, and a glass 'donut' was fused into the top of the neck. This allowed the liquid to be poured out, but the stopper prevented any fluid from being poured back into the bottle. I would like to know 1...Where did L.C. Edwards make his bottles? 2...Do any other bottles like this exist? 3. Did L.C. Edwards make any other kinds of bottles? (I cannot find anything on him with Google) [image][/image]
