I picked these up today at an antique shop They are both really nice with bubbles and whittle marks. The dark one almost looks red, and is marked Putnam 326 on the bottom. The Light Amber one is a putnam 225. Iwas wondering if these are common ones, I cant seem to find much info on them. Thanks Jay

They wouldn't be considered common if they were in my collection. I don't know what they are worth but the color makes them very appealing in my estimation.

What are the amber Lightning pints going for these days cookie . I dug one years ago , it was the only fruit jar I ever dug up . There is also a reproduction in the quart amber jars too if I remember right . Do you know what the numbers are on the repro jar , it alludes me at the moment .

One other thing to remember is that the repro jars are machine made and have a smooth lip. There are antique jars with the 227 base number and they all have a ground lip.

Thanks Mark, and everyone for the info. I am just glad it was lightning Jars, we also had alot of lightning, probably the same storm that passed here to You. I Had the Idea of keeping one and selling one, but they are both nice and different numbers, but definitly ifI sell one it will be the light amber 225. Please let me know if anyone would be interested although I will probably sit an these for a little while. I am now hooked on these jars. Jay
