I've had this bottle for about 20 years. I think it was the second bottle I found. I don't know anything about it. I thought maybe someone on here would know somthing about it. The bottle reads LIQUOZONE
MANUFACTURED ONLY BY
THE LIQUID OZONE Co.
CHICAGO,U.S.A
If you look close, you can see the S in U.S.A. is backwords. Kinda Neat !

G'day George, welcome to the forum. I'm sort of a new member also, and I must say that the people who use this forum are great. I'm from Netherby, a suburb of Adelaide, in South Australia - "Downunder".

Good luck with your digging, from what I have read, you'll strike it rich quickly.

I Guess no one saw one of these for 7 years I just dug one today. Hey George ! welcome to ABN -- 7 years later

A cut-rate store, the Economical Drug Company of Chicago, started on a a considerable proportion of tuberculosis cases show a history of the Peruna type of .. At last someone suggested that they use Peruna, of which nine bottles remained. .. the business to Chicago, and organized it as The Liquid O zone Company.

Liquid Ozone

Ozone is a naturally occurring molecule which is present in our air. It is originated when sunshine or lightning passes through the oxygen in our air, so is not normally man-made or originated in a lab in any way. Municipal treatment plants for town water systems utilize ozone extensively in the sanitization of drinking water. Ozone is also widely used in the disinfection of bottled water products as it is the preferred method for removing hazardous water borne diseases such as Giardia lamblia and Cryptosporidium.

Ozone is one of the most effectual sanitation and disinfection aids available, that could surpass even exceptionally toxic antiseptic solvents. In tests to measure genuine disinfection characteristics, ozone has proven to be as much as 10 times as effective in purifying surfaces as common household bleach solutions.

The speed at which ozone sterilizes is even more surprising: Laboratory examinations have shown that exposures to ozone will inactivate bacteria three times quicker than when bacteria are exposed to household bleach.

Ozone is a regular molecule of conventional water which contains an extra atom of oxygen. Liquid ozone is generated through a special and absorbing procedure whereby oxygen (O2) atoms are purified directly from the encircling air. The focused oxygen is then ionized by the use of about five thousand volts of electric current. This charge acts to violate the molecular ties amidst the oxygen atoms to pressure them to transmute into ozone (O3). This ozone is then forcefully instilled with ordinary faucet water and this procedure creates an exceptionally effective oxidizing cleanser solution.

I am sure the "The Liquid O Zone co" of Chicago knew all of this when they made the stuff

I still can't figure why we can't just plug up the hole in the layer and put a stop to global warming. We used to have the technology to make it, now we can blast it into space. What's the big deal?.

An interesting quack product similar to Radam's Microbe Destroyer.
O'Dell did a pretty complete page on it.

There is a clear flask shaped version of it that is embossed
"Liquozone Destroys Disease Germs"

No it doesn't Rick.  It looked better before.  Here's what I'd do. Your bottle is so easy to restore, why bother with greasy oil?

I'd knock the sickness off it while perserving the weird swirls by going over it  with  a blue nyalox flap brush.  If it didn't get down in the embossing well enough I'd use a nylon dremel bit in the drill. 1500 grit sandpaper wrapped around an erasor would most likely get a lot of the sickness off too; but I don't much like to use sandpaper on amber bottles.

After this the bottle will be very dull looking  so then I'd buff it for about 10 or 15 minutes with small car buffer and medium-cut Meguiar's cleaner,  again using dremel bit and drill to get down into embossing; then wash off greasy buffing residue with dish soap and hot water.

Now the bottle will be quite clean and sparkly because the mineral deposits are gone forever but not perfect or slick because the glass has not been altered.  Personally I buff and then compare old bottle to brand new one until I get approximate same degree of shine but making allowances for the fact that old glass is naturally rough and new glass is perfectly smooth.  Then if there are some etched spots  remaining that don't  particularly enhance the bottle there are steps you can take to get rid of those too.

Or . . . you could coat the bottle with greasy oil.

Buying this stuff is a small investment, especially if you don't own a variable speed type of drill,  but you would have enough left to do many bottles.  If anyone is reading this and thinking it might be worth a try, remember, Rick's bottle is in pretty good condition.  Using the above method would not significantly  improve a more crustaceous or damaged bottle and additional steps would have to be taken, or maybe get it tumbled. It would not be worth doing unless the bottle was valuable.
