I found a thread doing a random search, regarding this subject, but can not find it now, so I apologize for the repeat.

I have 2 12 sided indian vegetable bitter bottles, one amethyst, one aqua.
The aqua :ALANCASTERS
NDIAN VESETABLE (thats how its appears on bottle)
             JAUNDICE BITTERS
then it has the usual ColSam Johnson, etc, 1852, made in taiwan

the amethyst:ALANCASTERS
                   INDIANVEGETABLE
                   JAUNDICE BITTERS (all normal)

but the other side has PIC MOND, VA  and no stamp on the bottom

both have the seams up the side and over the lip. I'm just curious if they are fakes, or if they are worth more than regulars due to the typos?

I have many other bitters, but these two are the ones I am curious about for now..... thanks for any info!

You chose the right word with "fakes". No such medicine exsited according to most experts.
There seemed to have been a few varients, possibly do to different makers. Here's a couple links for you.

This shows a bunch of different colors and molds. These are Wheaton, not Taiwan or other makers. I'm sure it's not all of them either. I've seen smoke and cobalt also. They're still cool bottles whatever they are.

Ron, that 1850 one is cool. It's not so much crude as it is just plain sloppy though. It looks like the toys r us with the backwards kids writing. I can't imagine it being accepted by the company unless it's pre 1840 or older. I think I could cut a mold better than that. I'm guessing it will turn up ABM or at least not pontilled. To me that would prove it. Possibly a repo of the fake. Maybe just someone playing with glass blowing. I hope not but that's my guess.
Even if it is though I wouldn't mind having something as poorly made as that. It still looks about one of a kind.
