Let's Go Pitch Some Crickets and look for Bottles - 9/5/2007 12:18:59 PM    logueb   Posts: 1384 Joined: 1/6/2007 Status: offline Pat had suggested that I take you folks on another trip.  Well, if you're interested hop in and let's ride over to Big Creek.  We'll pitch a few crickets and check that sandy bottom creek for bottles.  You never know what you might find when you go on an adventure.  It's been raining all morning and we are probably gonna get wet, but since we will be wade fishing it doesn't matter too much.  Never been wade fishing? RE: Let's Go Pitch Some Crickets and look for Bottles - 9/5/2007 3:55:10 PM    logueb   Posts: 1384 Joined: 1/6/2007 Status: offline Most folks here call these Jacks .  I think that the proper name is Chain Pickerel.  A lot of people don't like these because of the forked bones, but my Brother-in-Law showed me a way to gash them so that those bones cook out. Here they are in my folding baket that I keep them in while fishing.  They stay alive longer using this type of basket.
